Outlook 2003 "Can't open this item" on Terminal Server
Description: reoccuring outlook calendar entry corrupt, trying to open it promts with “Can’t Open item”
Resolution:
A number of solutions on the web, none of which worked.
Clear the forms cache in outlook
removing outlook add-ins
delete the frmcache.dat file (this was terminal server) and no other users had the problem
Final solution was to move the users mailbox to another mailstore (mailbox move live with the user accessing seemed to work ok) – oncve moved the user was prompted that ” the systems administrator has made a change which requries you to restart your outlook”)
the reoccuring calendar item was then edit-able and delete-able
