Active directory promotion / demotion fails
promo or demotion of a active directory domain controller fails with error message
The Operation failed because:
Failed to configue the service NETLOGON as requested “the wait operation timed out”
resolution:
The netlogon service takes too long to stop, ensure this service is now stopped using services.msc, click BACK on the wizard and next to repeat the process with the NETLOGON service already stopped and process should complete successfully
